Expert consensus for the management of patients with achondroplasia in treatment with vosoritide▼

Description

Barreda-Bonis et al. Present the consensus of ACH experts in Spain in response to the need for clear guidance for the management of ACH following the introduction of vosoritide. A protocol was developed for the administration of vosoritide which will allow for standardised implementation and optimisation of treatment outcomes. The protocol also offers an opportunity to improve the management of ACH in Spain through a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach.

A panel of 6 experts in ACH participated in the development of this consensus. Experts included specialists in paediatric endocrinology, medical genetics, and orthopaedics and traumatology. This protocol highlights that ACH requires specialised and multidisciplinary management with careful coordination of care. This team should be involved in the planning of vosoritide treatment, treatment initiation, and close patient monitoring.
