During the first visit, however, you will want to go over each step.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t    <\/div>\n                \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t    <p class=\"duration\">Duration: 01:17<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div id=\"acf-block-6429e3ba5bc25\" class=\"block wrapped-content\">\n    <div class=\"wrapper\">\n        <div class=\"inner-wrapper\">\n                \n<div id=\"acf-block-6429e3ba5bc41\" class=\"block-wysiwyg\">\n            <h2>Obtain vital signs and weight<\/h2>\n<p>Prior to infusion, you will need to obtain the patient\u2019s vital signs, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Blood pressure<\/li>\n<li>Pulse<\/li>\n<li>Respiration<\/li>\n<li>Temperature<\/li>\n<li>Pulse oximetry (Sp0<sub>2<\/sub>) level<\/li>\n<li>Weight (prior to dose preparation for accurate dosing)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For dosing, convert the patient\u2019s weight from pounds to kilograms: (X lbs \/ 2.2 = X kg (or X lbs x 0.4536 = X kg)<\/p>\n<h2>Assess respiratory status, health history<\/h2>\n<p>To determine whether the patient is able to undergo the infusion, do the following:<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div id=\"acf-block-6429e3ba5bc6b\" class=\"block single-video\" data-muted-autoplay=\"false\">\n    <div class=\"wrapper\">\n\t\t<div class=\"video-poster\">\n\t\t\t<a class=\"modal-video permitted\" href=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/662862857\" style=\"background-image: url(https:\/\/hcp.biomarin.com\/en-us\/naglazyme\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/10\/vlcsnap-2022-10-04-12h49m56s030.png?v=0.33);\">Play<\/a>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"video-details\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"video-details-inner\">\n\t\t\t    \t\t\t\t    <h2 class=\"h3\">View video: Infusion precautions\n<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t                    <div class=\"supporting-text\">\n                        <ul>\n<li>Assess the patient\u2019s respiratory function<\/li>\n<li>Review recent health history<\/li>\n<li>Note any changes in the patient\u2019s baseline health and respiratory function<\/li>\n<li>Be aware that fever and respiratory symptoms may mask infusion-associated reactions<\/li>\n<li>Consider postponing infusions in patients with acute febrile or respiratory illness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t    <\/div>\n                \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t    <p class=\"duration\">Duration: 00:55<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div id=\"acf-block-6429e3ba5bc7c\" class=\"block wrapped-content\">\n    <div class=\"wrapper\">\n        <div class=\"inner-wrapper\">\n                \n<div id=\"acf-block-6429e3ba5bc9f\" class=\"block-wysiwyg\">\n            <h2>Medications recommended prior to NAGLAZYME<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> (galsulfase) administration<\/h2>\n<p>Prior to IV insertion and 30 to 60 minutes before beginning infusion, the patient should be premedicated with antihistamines (with or without antipyretics) because of the potential for infusion-associated reactions.<\/p>\n<p>Sleep apnea is common in patients with MPS VI.
